Swansea Sound
LIVE AT THE RUM PUNCHEON
Packed full of hook-filled two and a half minute pop songs.
Johnnie Johnstone, Record Collector

Brimful of literate in-jokes.
Wyndham Wallace, Uncut

The band are fighting for the very soul of indie here folks, and that battle has never sounded so melodic, catch and energised. The album is a defiant 35 minute indie pop manifesto fuelled by nostalgia, anger, humour and heart.
Andy Brown, Louder Than War

About Swansea Sound
An indie/punk band, formed in lockdown 2020, with Hue Williams and Amelia Fletcher, both ex-The Pooh Sticks, plus Rob Pursey and Ian Button.

Rob writes the songs. Band artwork is by Catrin Saran James. The band are joined live by Bob Collins
Their songs are on vinyl, cassette, CD and digitally on Bandcamp. But you'll only find them on Spotify, Apple Music, etc, once they are old enough to be library music.

Their debut album, Live At The Rum Puncheon is blistering anti-corporate fun.
Swansea Sound was a much loved local radio station in South Wales until 2020 when its corporate owner, Bauer, changed its name to Greatest Hits Radio.
The Rum Puncheon was a disreputable pub in Swansea. It was demolished in the 1980s.
